So i found this video online about mirror neurons. Essentially, this theory attempts to explain empathetic reactions of human, and some animal, cognitive brain functions. When a person is feeling happy, sad, etc. specific neurons fire to create this emotions. Another person looking at this will feel similar emotions and therefore identical neurons will fire. The video explains this a whole lot better then i ever will.

A few thoughts on this guys beliefs:
People have grown into a state where they have assigned roles, tasks, and responsibilities in their lives that dictate what they do. During this assignment many of us forget the beauty behind simple interactions, i.e. helping a friend when they are down, making a stranger laugh, or smiling at a little kid playing. We are all too busy or concerned with ourselves to take time for others.
It takes a hell of a lot more courage to reach out a helping hand to a complete stranger then a complete friend. Personally, every day i try to do one thing nice to someone i dont know and will more then likely never meet again. Leave shyness in the shadows where it should stay, and take a step out, risk looking silly, and walk around with a smile and happy thoughts.
Empathy is a road to peace.
These photos were done by Alessandra Bianco, a wonderful photographer who just graduated from Towson University. The box was about 3′ by 3′ maybe slightly largers, but the photos turned out marvelously. Feel free to blame me for the wonky poses in some of them.
